Day 1: Arrival
Located in a high-alpine meadow located 915 meters (3000 ft) above sea level, the Alpine Lodge is nestled into a remote glacially carved valley. In all directions, your private chalet is surrounded by towering peaks. Due to the remote nature of the Alpine Lodge, guests enjoy the exciting and unique experience of accessing their getaway by helicopter flight. We certainly do not take first impressions lightly. Soaring above beautiful Lake Wanaka over the expanse of mountain peaks makes one feel as though they have entered another world. The day of heliski you might wake like it’s Christmas morning with the anticipation of the adventure to come. Following your morning safety briefing with your private guide, the fun begins. Spend the day exploring snow-covered alps in search of the most pristine heliskiing lines. Spanning 17 different mountain ranges offering over 800 runs, there is no shortage of untouched snow.
