Without road access, getting to Minaret Station Alpine Lodge is part of the experience.
Accessible only by helicopter, we offer daily departures flying from our Queenstown and Wanaka heliports. This is not your normal hotel transfer. Flying through spectacular mountain valleys, over snow-capped peaks and across braided alpine rivers, the journey into Minaret Station is up there amongst some of the world's finest scenic flights. And this we call a transfer!
Scenic helicopter transfers are available as either flexible private departures or scheduled, fixed time departures. Transfer rates are in addition to Alpine Lodge tariffs. In addition to Queenstown and Wanaka Airports, we can transfer guests from almost any location in New Zealand door to door, including other luxury lodges, airports and private properties.
Our sister company Alpine Helicopters operate our fleet of Squirrel AS350 and MD500E helicopters. These comfortable and very reliable machines have been specifically chosen for their suitability for mountain flying.

Luggage Requirements
Helicopter transfer rates include a small to medium soft bag or suitcase (weighing up to 23kg / 50lbs) and 1 small piece of hand luggage for each guest. As a guideline, the bag should be approximately 62 linear inches (height, weight and depth measurement) to fit within the aircraft.
For any excess luggage requirements, secure luggage storage is available at our Queenstown and Wanaka heliports for the duration of your stay at no additional charge.
